I have a very close female friend who, when questioned by others says we're just friends.

But then we got drunk and she was all over me, like dancing with me/starting to grind then apologizing, holding my hand, us being in close physical contact and her being like "your girlfriend wouldnt approve of this" in a cheeky way (i dont have a gf but she teases me about this girl i know and calls her my gf).

She started telling randoms i was her boyfriend so they wouldnt hit on her and said it like 20 times, had me carrying her, supporting her, by the end of the night i had my hands around her waist and was resting my head on hers (from behind).

Everyone was saying how cute we are together and anyone else who looked at us would think we're a couple....

But then she does things like tell people i'm only friend....

Why is she saying that? Is she just saying that because i havent made a move and she's being cautious?

Is she interested in me or not?

Yea make a move if you feel it's right or talk to her about it.

Why are you holding out on her? She wants you to go for it.

I'm in a similar situation right now. Talk to her about it. You might like what you hear. :)

It sounds like she is just a lovey-dovey drunk. But it wouldn't hurt to ask if you like her that is. If you don't have any interest, leave it be.

Honestly, it sounds like average behavior from a tipsy friend.

i was like this with my closest guy friend, and i was into him, but things just never happened and we didnt talk about it when we were sober, if you want something to happen id say you should talk to her

I don't think we can give any indication on whether she's interested or not based on what she does when drunk. You really should just talk to her about it.
