Right I've noticed how we don't have a "How to Get over Him/Her" topic, how I will never know but I've decided to write some tips where I want member to read and add their own thoughts on how they have got over somebody.
1) Invite some friends over - This is great, having a night in sleepover style. For the guys it might be get drunk and do stupid things. Get some movies; find something which is fun to do. Girls this might be face masks, make over's, gossiping etc. Guys maybe get the games console out and have a good old battle till the end, enjoyable and we all know how you like competing.
2) Change your look - might sound odd, but it can help you have confidence and also feel better about yourself. When you feel good about yourself you naturally flirt and just feel better about you, which is the most important thing right?
3) A night out - this can be good as you will be able to let your hair down, have a dance and just forget about things for the night. Also we all know when we go out there is potential to some flirting and make out, so get those party shoes on girls and get out there. Guys don't forget to wear something that smells amazing (most girls love that).
4) Lists of what annoyed you about them - yes it means thinking about them however it makes you think about all there bad points that really pissed you off, and then makes you think that you are better off without them.
5) Party! - throw a party if you can, get a group of friends, single or taken and just have a good night of fun, be careful who you invite though...wouldn't want the place getting trashed now would we.
6) Remove him/her - this means taking them off your friends list, AIM's, MSN, try and distance yourself so you are giving yourself the chance to move on because if they are constantly around it can make it so much more difficult.
7) Leading on to getting rid of things - Hiding the things that remind you of him/her, it only cuts you up inside and tortures you. A song you shared, try not to play it because it can cause you to miss things a lot more.
8) Girls - SHOP - we all know retail therapy works, heck it might work for guys also. Buy something you wanted, but never had the guts to buy. Will make you feel better, we all know material possessions don't mean happiness but sometimes they do put a smile on our faces.
9) Write it down - write it down in a letter you won't send, it lets out all them pent up feelings and makes us feel better about ourselves knowing we have let it all out. After writing it, you could choose to send it, shred it into millions of pieces or lock it away and forget about it.
10) Remember there are other guys/girls - as they say plenty more fish in see we just need to find a good catch! So go fishing, you never know what can come out of it (in a metaphorical sense)
11) Remember EVERYTHING happens for a reason - however we might not know why but it does, when we close a door a window opens right? You just have to keep that way of thinking in mind otherwise you can't move on if stuck in the past.
12) Let feelings out - crying it can let it out and having a good cry session can always help you to mend a broken heart. Also it makes us feeling better releasing all them pent up feelings. If you feel angry, do some boxing or something, it will help to do something productive with anger, and it's fun.
