Well,

As you guys know, when you're creating a topic, posting a reply or sending a private message, there is the "Check Spelling" option available to those with troubles spelling or are stuck on a particular word.

I think that there should also be a "Check Grammar" option on LiveWire as well.

That way, we can ALL understand people when they talk.  I mean, we won't have to try and figure out when people say:

"uhmm okaii liek durs dis gui n he liek wuntz 2 b mii bf buh liek i gotz a bf n den i tuld him bout diz oda guy n he gotz rellii mad case im onlii hizz baybee n he wuzz gona beet da shitt outa da othurr guii buhh it wuzz 2 l8..."

So..together with the spell checker AND the grammar checker.. I think LiveWire would be a better place.

Thank you.

Ever seen the MS Office grammar check? Describing it as useless would be rather generous. We can't implement anything more sophisticated on LiveWire without possibly overloading the server.

Download firefox.

I don't see how that would be possible...

And people won't use it... not the people you want to use it anyway.

I don't see the point. People won't use it, just like they don't use the spell checker.

This would be too hard/impossible to impliment.

If Microsoft haven't been able to do it over many many years and lots of money, we won't be able to.

Grammar checker, using Word GCheck as an example, isn't usually all that accurate. Really.

I know it isn't 100% accurate but it's better than how many people on here type by themselves! At least we'll be able to semi-understand it.

Yeah, but it's still a voluntary action, and seeing as how very few people actually care to use the spellcheck function, I doubt it'd be that helpful. Most people that can type coherently can do it without the spellcheck, or can already type grammatically correct sentences, so it wouldn't be of much use.

i corrected all those words so that they were spelled correctly and i ran it through Word's grammar check and it said there was nothing wrong with the grammar...
Except for the lack of periods!!

I know.  It's a complete run-on sentence.  I mean, even if the spelling was right, it would still be difficult to understand due to the lack of periods.

Well a period-adder program would be quite unwanted given how many young teens want to get rid of their periods!

Haha.  Well said.
