Would it be a good idea to create a forum for members leaving?  Basically like release their stresses on why they want to leave and cast off with one angry spiteful goodbye?

Members who are creating a thread simply to say "I'm leaving LW forever!" don't deserve support anyway.  That's just them seeking attention.

because some of them aren't angry rants and spiteful remarks.  I guess its all in perception, but I see random musings not as basically a final cry for help when they're about to give up on the site but more of a place to randomly post something weird they heard or thought.

Basically. I understand most of them would be angry spiteful stabs at either specific members or the LW community as a whole, but there are some times where people leave because they feel like nobody cares, and maybe seeing it we can convince them that its worth it to stay and that we can help... or half the people tell them that they're worthless and further drive them to leave.

And why can that not be done in Rants/DTRM?

I think DTRM/Rants is enough.

I agree.  I don't think we can afford to have another spam forum.

I kind of like that idea, but I think it would probably get abused!
