I think this site would get it's supportive and pro-health attitude back if David offered "good job taking care of yourself" points.

Firstly we could have a LW sobriety club that's sort of like AA where people meet every day and have a "buddy" and if you're sober for thirty days and go to a sobriety meeting every single day of those days you get a bonus in points (say 50) and that bonus goes up and up for each month that you're sober.

We could also have something like, if you're in a healthy BMI range for your height/age (check http://www.seventeen.com/health-sex-fitness/bmi-calculator/ ) you get a fifty point monthly bonus by taking a picture of your view from standing on the scale each month (we subtract a pound from the weight of the camera, obv)

Another thing is we could have people record what they eat each day for a week and if it falls within a healthy calorie range six of the seven days you get 30 points

if you have a healthy calorie range for six months, 500 0 points.

I know people could just lie but this will at least get them thinking about shit.

Also instead of having contests for dumb inspiration/lol cat posters we could have them based on "don't disrespect your body" posters like the ones in my IB.

Questions/comments/concerns?

Lying over the internet is too easy.

It won't be enough points that lying is worth the time.

If I tell you that I haven't smoked a cigarette in over two weeks and that I haven't touched alcohol since last Saturday, how do you know it's true?
If you go to the sobriety meetings every single day and say something and talk to your buddy, that's what counts.

I can go to meetings every single days and say something, and I can talk to my buddy, and it doesn't mean a thing.
