It's been brought up by ToyJetpack, Monroe and TheAcademy that the feedback system for supportiveness is a tad bit fucked.

I suggest new positions; people that can rate how good the feedback is. As they, and others, have said, the advice that they offer may not be well received if it's not what the OP wanted to hear, and they could get poor ratings for a good post.

I think that the only fair way to do this would be an impartial third party.

That, or have the SL's do it.

I am sorry bout this all, but let me get this out of my system: LOLWOT?!

Alright, New positions? We already got Independent Mod Reviews and Feedback from our eHelp Replies (I don't think users are really using it anymore correctly, they just give the same old feedback over and over). Very few of our Support Leaders are that horrible in Supporting or effectiveness that they should be demoted. Thats clearly madness and a outrage to say it. None of us would have became Support Leaders if we didn't give exceptional or quality support, advice and wisdom.

Kindly save the bitch attitude for someone that'll willingly endure it.  Not I.

This was merely a suggestion that I made in response to another member's topic about this "glitch".  I had someone else ask me to make a suggestion topic out of my reply.  Thus this topic was made.

there would be no point in establishing that system unless the mods demoted people based on supportiveness ratings

i don't really care about the rating tbh. I mean tuffy has like a 66% and she's really good at what she does.

I do agree with this. Monroe is an amazing support leader. The support system is totally messed up, and we all realize this.

/: I guess what the OP is trying to say is that we should have members rate eHelps too.

ehh I just think it shouldn't be that big a deal

all that matters is the fact we gave someone the suppot and tbh, even if the advice you give them isn't what they wanted to hear.....there's an offhand chance they might use it

Very true. I don't honestly think it matters to any support leaders that their rating goes down. As long as we help... we can't really hope for anything else other then them using it.
ToyJetpack Posted at 7:45 pm on July 4, 2009
I would support that.

Then again, I spoke a little bit out of ignorance in my topic, I should have read the SL FAQ, and I would have found out that my problem with it is a fairly tired topic.

She is a really good SL.

that's what I said
Niick Posted at 7:41 pm on July 4, 2009
No one can truly rate feedback unless they were the recipient of said feedback....

It's not rated on how well written it was, but how well said person could use the response according to their problem.

just leave it as is. it would require too much work changing it :/
Lally Posted at 7:40 pm on July 4, 2009
