Squash opportunities for me.

Today, there was an athlete's convention where I live, and my parents told me about it, so I was like "So, can I go?" They say "idk".

One hour ago, they decide that we will go, and I'm like "WHAT!", but I get ready.

It's an hour later, and the thing ends in an hour, and we are still here, I don't know why.

Not that, realistically, I was going to get discovered and become the next Mia Hamm, but still, if an opportunity is presented, I'm going to go check it out. Meet some people, etc.

Stuff like this happens all the the time. Another example is of an SAT class that was at my school. My mom signs me up for it, and then decides "Nah, let's not do that".

I have to take the SAT later this year, and I'm nowhere near fucking prepared.

I could go on for days.

I have dreams, and sure, I could accomplish them with a hell of a lot of work, but my parents are not helping me, and they are probably hindering it, with their refusal to spend their time or money.

Would you be able to have a talk with them?  Ask them why they keep turning back, and won't invest in your future like you want them to?

My parents are like that too.

My dad and grandparents don't support anything I do, am interested in or even want to hear about it.

Try to ignore them and keep working as hard as you can for your goals. It'll be tough, and it's harder without that support, but it's worth it.

Have a talk with them about them doing what they say they will such as going to this and going through with the SAT class.
