So, let's imagine that you really like someone who is a friend's friend. You tell both people, and then that person you like, says they don't feel the same way (despite flirting) . Well, it's the friend who tells you...You'd feel a bit gutted, right?.

Then tonight imagine, this person you like tells you that they're really annoyed with their ex who has now found someone, and is really keen for you to go out with them and others. You agree, (although still feeling bitter about being lead on-but thinking it might be a chance maybe because of the compliments in the past), and you then hear another person in the group say that this person and their friend (this same friend you knew before) are an ''item''. This is then clarified by the fact that they're both outrageously flirting.

Everyone in the group asks if you're ok, and you try and shrug it off. Would, like me, you then want to runaway from the situation and so purposely lose them and go back home?

That's what I just did. The others are in the club still. I just feel so used.

* I should also add that I wasn't originally going to go out with them, after the same group member who told me about the 'they're an item' news, also insulted people with depression calling them 'fruitcakes' (this was yesterday). I think this is why I wanted to leave too.

Ouch that is really awful.
I dont think it was fair of them to do such a thing.

but by the sounds of it, the one you liked must have seen that as the only way for her to tell you she doesnt want anything to happen.
but your friend isnt really a friend for not telling you. and you should reconsider whether you wanna be friends with them or not.

i do think you acted ok..it could have been worse and you could have actually ran away from the situation, but well done you for keeping your cool.
