Its like an eight hour drive. She wants to stay for a while. Shes talking about like, five weeks and shit. Fuck that. I just don't know how to say that I don't want to go. I'm not even sad really. I guess I'm suppose to be but I'm not. Yeah, its sad but I'm not going to cry or anything..Why can't she just go by herself? I know I sound like a bitch right now but...I just don't wanna go. And I probably will be sad when he dies but right now I just don't feel anything.

You don't realize what you have until it's gone. I highly recommend you make the sacrifice and go on the trip with your mom. I promise you, you'll feel like such a jerk if you don't do this, you skipped out on your grandpa's last remaining weeks so you can spend time to yourself. I highly recommend you sit down and think about this for some time, you gotta think of the cause and effect of the whole situation. If you don't do this, your family might lose respect for you. Do this for your family and your grandpa, in the end you can say to yourself that you actually did show some compassion. You can also talk to a school counselor about your situation, they might be able to talk things out with you and give you advice on what to do. I hope everything works out for you. Tell your mother it's hard for you, but you should go say goodbye. You will regret it later down the road. I've had many people die on me that I didn't say goodbye and I felt like shit. Actually, my sister just died in a car accident about a month ago and I blamed myself for being a cunt to her all the time. I know that it's not my fault, but I could have been nicer. Anyways...take the opportunity that you have to do so.
