All of the big businesses are getting bail-outs. Well, my parents own a business, and they have to get through this economy by themselves. Smaller businesses should get a little somthing too.

My parents are having problems, and we are nervous about the future.

Mine too.
But it's just my dad who owns the company and my whole family is dependent upon my dad's income since my grandma doesn't work, my aunt works for him, my brothers work for him, and my uncle mooches off my grandma.
So we're pretty much screwed.

My family is enduring the same right now. My grandmother owns and operates her own restaurant, and my mother manages it and heads the wait-staff. If we lose the business, we lose everything.

It's scary, but it could be so much worse. Things will change, even if it takes time. Best of luck to your family.
