So Ive been working with a psychiatrist about opening up and becoming more social so that my life doesn't suck later in my 20's etc. Now, we've boiled it down to to ways I can socialize with people since school isn't going to work. Either a sport or a job. I don't know about any of the clubs or after school activities(if you didn't join them freshman year, you are screwed) same thing goes for sports, I quit football for good reason and not only is it too late for that but they aren't going to teach a Senior how to play a sport.

As for the job I don't quite understand. How am I supposed to make friends at a job, say its at a restaraunt or a grocery store. When or why would I socialize, I am there to work, not goof off. I don't get paid to socialize with the employees and it sounds really bad to me.

He(psykaitrist) said that I tend to think of things to block myself from doing new things, is this me doing it again or do I just have more morals than the other teens who goof off at work?

you interact with customers and you don't work all the time. then you can goof around. work isnt all about work haha
but still, I am paid for even break time, and it would feel wrong.
