i'm having a very hard time coping with the death of my little sister she was 16 when she died.... after fighting a ten year and two month battle she died 12:06 christmas morning of the year 2008. she had pulmonary hypertension, a nine mm hole in her heart and she needed a double lung transplant. I am feeling so much guilt over this because there have been so many time when i said something nasty to her or did something to make her cry....i never got the chance to tell her i loved her before she died and that is the biggest regret that i have. it kills me evertime i see something that reminds me of her and this is an hourly occurance ....has anybody found the superglue and the peices of my shattered soul?

We all all dying, technically.  For me, being the sciences-oriented person that I am, thinking of death like that helps.  I'm sorry for your loss.

It is definately sad when a life so young is taken. Let me say that every family, every sibling has a fight or a tiff with their sibling. I am sure she knew that you did not mean what you said and I am sure that the last thing she would want you to do is to beat yourself up over something that didnt mean much to her.

Cherish the good memories that you have of her. When we lose friends or family close to us that is all we can do. We have to keep the good memories and let time heal our pain. I guarantee it will never be ok and you may not ever get over it,,,but time will make it easier to deal with.

Meanwhile...turn to your friends and family to support. You can also turn to Livewire for assistance,,,this site is here 24/7 and even though there are rude people on here,,,there are plenty of people willing to offer assistance and guidance whenever it is needed.

That's so sad...

This world really blows at times. I feel so bad for her.

As for you though, I don't know what would make you feel better besides just time... and even that will only help to a certain extent. I don't think this is something you can ever fully recover from.

I'm so sorry about your sister. It sounds like she fought really hard. Her death is recent, so you should grieve as much as you want. Grieving is healthy. Cry as much as you need to. Know she is always watching down on you. You've got yourself a guardian angel.

only you can find it.
cliche, but time really heals.

Well hun things take time.
You need to realize that it wasn't your fault,
and as your sister she knew that you loved her, and she loved you back.

we all are like that with out siblings!
its not something we think about until something like
this happens.

maybe some therapy will help...

i'm very sorry.
good luck!

How come you never told her you loved her? My family are all like that. no one ever says i love u to anyone, but it is there. You are being too hard o n yourself, you gotta try remember good things.

Sadly there is no answer. I had a similar regret problem with my mother who was hit by a car, Only time will heal you.
