Is it normal for good/best friends, to go through periods where they speak constantly, see each other all the time, to go to not speaking as much and not seeing each other as much?

Like me and my good friend speak everyday, but recently it hasn't been as much, and i havent seen them as much as i did before, is this normal?

I thought I had a best friend and talk everyday. Until I lost trust in her.

eh it usually means you guys are moving on

nah. not usually. my best friend and i have been going strong for like 12 years. we'll have long periods of time where we're extra-obsessed with each other, first person to message me goodmorning, last to bid me a good night, always quick to update on life details. other times, we'll just have weeks or even months where one or both of us is just really busy and distracted with other people or life shit. it doesn't mean that either person values the other any less, or that we're mad, or anything.
