I was lieing on the sofa with my cat yesterday and found a flea on my arm, which I removed.

Then all day yesterday I found myself scratching my arm.

Now I just looked at my arm to see in the place where the flea was, a large (1 inch) skin coloured bump with a red rash around it. The bump is about 1/2 a cm high and when I touch it it really stings.

Should I be worried about it? Am I having an alergic reaction? Has the flea planted eggs in my skin? Or is it normal and treatable?

Thanks

I've googled both of the above but it doesn't look either of them. It's probably a very bad flea bite. Thanks foer the help hatt. I'll see if I can find any lotion to sooth the pain and then I'm taking my cat to the vet.

idk.  are you sure it was a flea and not a tick?

try googling for tick bites.  could be lime disease?

it's just a flea bite.  it'll swell and disappear in a week or two.  don't worry.

I hope your right, although I'd rather it go quicker it looks horrible. But I've searched for pictures of flea bites and they're red aren't they? Mine's like a white colour and looks like a dob of ice cream.

A little, only a lot more raised, about twice the size and  with a smaller rash.
