ok. i'm 5'7 and 155 lbs (spread evenly around my body). i want to get down to 120-125 but my bf doesn't want me to. he think i'm fine now but i AM actually chubby no matter what my BMI says. he says 10 lbs tops but i'm thinking more like 30-35...

however. i can't seem to lose any anyway so it looks like i'm stuck. should i give up or keep trying?

if you want it, do it.

You should be happy that he likes you the way you are.

Try. At the point when I weight that much, I thought I was fine...but now I'm VERY overweight. Do something now before it gets harder.

Lose whatever weight you want to be HEALTHY, thats all that matters, if he doesn't like you trying to be healthy, he's obviously not looking out for your interests.

windmillkickyodog Posted at 8:22 pm on July 8, 2008
just be healthy. none of that anorexia bullshit.
desireelovesyouu Posted at 8:22 pm on July 8, 2008
When you are taller like that it would be worse if your weight was less like you want it to be.

The weight you are now seems perfect.
Im around 5'7"

who's body is it? yours, correct... therefore you shouldn't give a shit what your boyfriend says!
pinkertongrass Posted at 8:21 pm on July 8, 2008
do what you want. He probably just doesn't want you to get "out of his league" or something.

rather than trying to lose weight why not try toning?
2ndbreakfast79 Posted at 8:21 pm on July 8, 2008
keep trying. and it should really only matter that you are comfortable with the way that you look, not what someone else thinks you should look like, unless it's an extreme situation like anorexia or severe obesity.

You need to be comfortable with your body, and if it's something you aren't happy with, then you can change it.  The best way to go about doing it is probably just exercising.  You don't need to change the diet, and just exercise to tone up the areas you aren't exactly happy with?  It's up to you... at the end of the day, you need to be comfortable win your own body, right?  But like I said, I wouldn't go with dieting... I would just exercise.  This will keep your body healthy, and help keep you in a shape and size that you can feel comfortable with.
