Does anyone know if you have to get a pap smear before you can get birth control pills?

I saw a yaz commercial and that pill is supposed to help your mood and your skin. I've kinda always wanted to ask about it b/c my cycle is irregular.

I talked to my mom about possibly getting birth control and she scheduled an appt. with my pediatrician. I just don't want a doctor to have to look "down there."
Can I just tell them it looks normal?

No, you don't. I'm on them. You can just ask about them with your doctor. No big deal.

If you are a virgin, then they won't make you do one to get put on birth control.

When I got put on it, they would have needed to do one IF I would have been sexually active.

No, you don't have to, but it's still a good idea to get the female check up just to make sure everything is all right down there.
