Ice it and make sure you don't leave the ice on for over 30 minutes. I was stupid enough and I put an ice pack on my knee after I hurt it while playing soccer and I watched television and I couldn't feel my knee so, I thought the ice pack was working. But only did I know that it was not better. My knee was frostbited. And make sure your don't leave the ice pack on your knee without anything between your knee and the ice pack.

Ice for 20 minutes, off for 10 (so you don't freeze the tissue) and keep it elevated.

Just ice it. If it isn't better in a few days, see a doctor.
