So, anyone who's had blood drawn, is it like getting a shot or something? Or does it feel different?
And in case you're wondering, I'm just getting my blood drawn cuz my mom thinks my cell count is low or something idk.
i was so scared, i cried every night before i had to go. when i went in there, i was shaking and bawling. (im seventeen years old ) my mom came in with me, and she held my hand. i was freaking out too bad for them to do it, they had to have two people come in, one to hold me down, one to hold my arm down. i was screaming and shaking (major hemophobe) but it didn't hurt really it was like a pinch. and that was it. (ofcourse, thats not what bothered me, what bothered me was that my blood was going up a tube)
but really it's not so bad. Your more afraid of the fear itself really. my boyfriend went with me the second and third times and i cried the second and shook a bit but no one needed to hold me down :D.
honestly, if you say to yourself it's a normal procedure and nothing can go horribly wrong (like i wish i had done) you'll be fine.
It's not so bad, so don't worry =]
mine went in like a colored tube. i bet you could ask them to just cover the tube it goes into so you dont see it.
really i HATE shots too, but it wasnt bad.
