From tomorrow I'm gonna drink 8+ glasses water. I need to know how much that is in water bottles because I normally drink from bottles. ha ha

I figure it's around 4 medium bottles but I thought I would check.

The bad thing is that as far as I know if you drink tons of water you pee a lot but after a while I figure that your body would get used to it and make it more normal. Wouldn't I?

Average bottled water size is about 16.9oz, a regular sized tumbler is 16oz.  So it is about the same.

Typically the average water bottle is 16 oz., I believe. So probably about four water bottles; I think you're right.

Keep in mind, though: all 64 oz. won't necessarily be taken in from water alone. If you drink juice, water, even soda or coffee, the water in these beverages count as that water intake. Though a cup of coffee isn't as great as a glass of water for your body, you're still absorbing that water. Also, some of that water intake will come from the foods you eat -- mainly fruits and veggies that have a high water content, but that's hard to count...so just try sticking to 64 oz. of beverages. So 64 oz. is just what your body needs to function properly, in other words.

I found this interesting, from the Mayo Clinic website:

   *  Replacement approach. The average urine output for adults is about 1.5 liters (6.3 cups) a day. You lose close to an additional liter of water a day through breathing, sweating and bowel movements. Food usually accounts for 20 percent of your total fluid intake, so if you consume 2 liters of water or other beverages a day (a little more than 8 cups) along with your normal diet, you will typically replace the lost fluids.
   * Eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. Another approach to water intake is the "8 x 8 rule" — drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day (about 1.9 liters). The rule could also be stated, "drink eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day," as all fluids count toward the daily total. Though the approach isn't supported by scientific evidence, many people use this basic rule as a guideline for how much water and other fluids to drink.
   * Dietary recommendations. The Institute of Medicine advises that men consume roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.

i hope i don't end up peeing all day. hahha

You might. I've been getting the recommended amount for over 2 months now, and have not built any resistance, therefore, pee at least once every 2 hours.

Ehh the whole drink 8 glasses of water to stay healthy thing has no real hard scientific evidence. Sure staying hydrated throughout the day is great for you but the whole 8 number really doesn't play into effect. So I wouldn't worry to much about staying precise with 8 glasses.
Jadien Posted at 4:39 pm on Oct. 19, 2008
It depends on the size of the glass. Normally, when a glass is filled, it's about 8oz. So, if you drink eight glasses at 8oz each, it would be 64 oz. That would be equivalent to about 3 and a half 12oz bottles.

Bottled water = tap water.
Innuendo Girl Posted at 4:28 pm on Oct. 19, 2008
I think a bottle of water is about 16 oz. So 4 bottles of water.
Discordany Posted at 4:28 pm on Oct. 19, 2008
Read your water bottle; how many oz. does it say?

If it doesnt, fill it up, then pour it into a measuring cup. There you go.

8 glasses = 64 oz.

yeah but how much is that in medium water bottles.

depends on what your perception of medium is. it should say fl. oz. on the bottle.

It depends on the size of the glass. Eight average glasses are probably about three bottles or so.
