my fiance is graduating from the Marine Corps boot camp next friday and my work wont let me go see him graduate, plus they put me on a double shift so I really couldn't hang out with him that night... I'm so scared hes going to be really disappointed and mad at me...

Just dont go to work! you'll get a warning... no biggy

when you work for the military, you can't just not go...

That is life, however, you could get sick that morning, and they have to right to question you.  I wouldn't suggest not going, that can get you fired, not just warned.

That's stupid that they wont let you off for something that important. Your fiance should understand though.

Yeah, that's the military life. My fiancee is in the marine's and he's deployed right now, and I havn't talked to him in about 2 weeks.

Suck it up, it sucks but you're going to deal with way worse when he's out of bootcamp.

That REALLY SUCKS. I don't see how your fiancee could NOT understand. It's obviously not your fault. Good luck, though.
