I was told to (and did) get in done professionally. (As in a tattoo parlor). I heard stories from friends and even knew of someone in school who went about getting it done with a piercing gun and eventually had to get surgery because the earring was inserted wrong. I paid under fifty dollars and I don't remember it hurting much, though he did tug at it, which wasn't at all pleasant. It doesn't cost much more than a normal ear piercing, and the pain is minimal. It only hurts for a few seconds. All 10 previous replies displayed.
