If it was scientifically proven that using deodorant/antiprespirant causes breast cancer, would you quit using it?

I somehow clicked "enter" too soon
the second option means: I don't use it anyway

Well, seeing as I am male... I would keep using it.

males get breast cancer as well, ya know?

KathyN Posted at 11:39 am on Nov. 20, 2008
Science would probably find something else that doesn't cause cancer... :P

Depends.

If it was proved that it causes cancer in the same way that burnt toast causes cancer (i.e. okay there might be some correlation but it's hardly enough to bother about), I wouldn't.

If there was a definite, strong link (like between smoking and lung cancer), then yes. If it were possible to use some other kind of deodorant (one of the natural varieties, for example) and that would be okay, then I would switch to that rather than stopping altogether.

whod want your breasts if you smell?
rickyspeople Posted at 11:35 am on Nov. 20, 2008
well, it hasn't been proven to CAUSE cancer..

but assuming it did, and was somehow still avaiable to even buy, no i wouldn't. anti-persperant is the only way to go. or i'd get fillers injected into my under arms, that cuts sweating down loads.

No.. because I don't have breasts..

I see your point but there have been a few males with breast cancer

I would still use it.

ronda Posted at 11:30 am on Nov. 20, 2008
No, not unless they could give me a safer alternative.
But if everyone had stopped, then I probably would as well, I just don't want to be the one who stinks of BO.

Well, getting our excuses for breasts cut out wouldn't be that bad.
littlewonderxo Posted at 11:29 am on Nov. 20, 2008

SpM Posted at 11:29 am on Nov. 20, 2008
The smell of sweat would be nothing compared to the smell of my decomposing, cancer ridden corpse.
