When I was like 4 years old my (face) skin looked perfect but now its like...old, dry, leathery, dull, and transparentish.

ive always eaten pretty bad, ever since i can remember id eat potato chips (by the bag), fast food, and snacks, and through high school I really didn't eat much at all.

Is the bad skin from genetics, or food, or what?

ps ive masturbated everyday since 6th grade, dunno if that has anything to with it

The skin is the largest organ of a body.  It is exposed to everything from the sun, pollutants in the air, chemicals and pollutants in the water, detergents, soaps, shampoos and germs we pick up from other people.  Everything we touch is passed on to the skin.  When we shake hands with someone or touch a germ infected door knob and then scratch our face, pick our nose or rub our eyes it is transferred onto the skin.

The sun, hormonal changes, improper care of the skin and genetics are the biggest factors in what affects the skin.  Food we eat also has an effect.

Here's some tips:  http://kidshealth.org/teen/your_body/take_care/skin_tips.html

Could be many things really. From genetics to eating habits to other bad habits (such as not wearing sunscreen and getting way too much sun). If you're very concerned about it, try talking to a dermatologist about it and see what kind of measures you can do to get it healthier looking again.

Sounds like someone needs more Zinc, Selenium, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Vitamins C, E, A, K, and B complex, and Silica in their diets.

i eat badly, and my skin is alright.

so ill jump to the genetics conclusion.

MixedDelight Posted at 10:09 pm on Nov. 22, 2008
Masturbation has no bearing on skin condition.

Your awful eating habits do. It's also called puberty.

telomere13 Posted at 10:09 pm on Nov. 22, 2008
It could be sun damage.

Probably a mixture of genetics and food habits.
