Not sure if there is already a topic related to this at all so sorry if there is =]
Also i wasnt sure if i should post this in the teen depression forum or health forum... but its in the health one now so sorry if its the wrong one.

Ok, i got perscribed prozac and the doctor did warn me that it would make me feel sick and possibly dizzy for the first week or so, but its like unbareable... im walking like a drunk and feel so sick =[ considering my parents dont know that aint good =[
anyone else ever been perscribed this? and was it this bad for you? =[
I know it will go away soon but its awful =[

Thanks for the posts... i cant wait for it to get better, maybe im being a bit optimistic... but i dont think it can get much worse than it is now

I've been prescribed prozac. It's the brand name of fluoxitine, a selective seretonin re-uptake inhibitor, basically an antidepressant. I also had short term memory loss and I felt dramatically lower. It didn't go away for me, so I changed medication initially, before scrapping it all together. But for the majority, it gets better after a matter of weeks.

I've heard of people that take it, I know it's supposed to be pretty rough the first week. It'll be gone after a week or so, you'll know when it's over too.
