Is it normal for mucinex to make you sick in the stomach?  I took two like an hour ago and I'm puking my guts out.

Although I think Mucinex is effective in drying up drainage in your head the smell of it is enough to make you puke.  I can't stand to touch one of the pills and have to swallow it with peanut butter to keep from becoming nauseous from the smell of it.

Yes...if you are new to taking it then it can cause stomach irritability. try taking it after food or with milk instead of water

Maybe you're having an allergic reaction and should call the poison control peoples...

Yeah, do that. And drink lots of water.
