So, my boyfriend has been complaining that his ear hurts and I looked at it today and there is this big, red, bubble in his ear. I've been putting rubbing alcohol on it to keep it dry and clean, but I've never seen anything like it and we don't really have money to take him to the doctor. Any idea what it might be??

what about ear candles? could that help?

That sounds awful. What are they?

haha my sister uses them alot. you stick them in your ear and they pull wax and dirt out... and yeah you light them

It sounds awful. I want one. haha.
If it's just for cleansing, I doubt it would help. It sounds like a scar or infection-based ball of pus.

It depends. Where at on/in his ear? Does he have a pierced ear?

its like inside his ear. but not too deep, its where i can see it obviously

I wouldn't suggest trying to home-lance or anything. If it doesn't go away within a week, take him to a doctor.

My sister had something like that, she needed prescription ear drops.
