your doc will just tell you its bad for your health and note it down in your files

It's against ethical code for the doctor to tell your parents anything personal like that. He or she asks b/c it can effect certain medications or what they need to look for during check ups, etc. It's actually really stupid of you not to tell the doctor the truth. You can even tell them you smoke weed, it's not like they would tell the cops or anything.

All they did to me was give me a lecture...nothing more
tennisplayerV2 Posted at 12:52 pm on Dec. 11, 2008
idk...well if you smoke i think you might want to be honest.  u never know what might happen if you don't say anything
EyelashWishes Posted at 12:52 pm on Dec. 11, 2008
just say yes, and the dr can't tell your mum, its patient confidentiality
Micus Posted at 12:51 pm on Dec. 11, 2008
The doctor isn't going to do anything but talk to you about it. I wouldn't worry... I tell my doctors I smoke pot all the time.

Anything you tell the doctor is confidential...
bri872002 Posted at 12:49 pm on Dec. 11, 2008
He can't do anything legally speaking to you.  He'll probably tell you it's bad and maybe give you some ways to stop, support groups, flyers, and stuff like that.

It's good to tell them, though, as it changes some things they do, medications they can give you, etc.

your doctor will give you a lecture about how bad it is to smoke... especially if you have respiratory problems such as asthma or allergies (such as myself)

Yeah pretty much.  Mine found out I habitually smoked marijuana and I got a drug lecture as well.

coughcough Posted at 12:48 pm on Dec. 11, 2008
youll prolly get a lecture or told how bad it is for you Lung cancer whooo hooo
FurryPanther Posted at 12:48 pm on Dec. 11, 2008
It's medically relevant, so he/she needs to know.

All they'll really do is try to dissuade you from doing it, and maybe tell your parents. But they already know, so no biggie.
