my blood sugar has been fluxuating like wild over the last few hours, i keep getting low and i can't seem to regulate myself. i'll eat something, feel okay for about 10 minutes or so then i feel like i'm dropping again. i don't get it.
i know you guys aren't doctors, but i need a second opinion. my blood sugar has been fluxuating like wild over the last few hours, i keep getting low and i can't seem to regulate myself. i'll eat something, feel okay for about 10 minutes or so then i feel like i'm dropping again. i don't get it.
See your doctor as soon as poss. If you find docs difficult to talk to, make a small list and take it. If you're shy, take a friend.
Your doc may ask you to give a urine test. You'll pee a little into a small plastic bottle. He or one of his nurses will do a simple test. Another test is for blood glucose levels. Follow your doc's advice for this. It's just a simple blood test, that's all.
Recently I'd gotten the beginnings of Type 2 diabetes. Mummy had it, so I knew at some time I'd get it. I'm 18 now, and have a regulated daily dose of insulin + a restricted, sugar-free diet.
Doctors are there to help you. But first, tell your parents, let them know as your health is important to them.
edited for typos
if so, have you been keeping up with your insulin/other meds?
