so i have a cold sore on my lip that is almost healed now.  today i noticed that there feels like something in the corner of my right eye. i looked and there's like 3 little whitish dots in the corner of my eye.  i'm worried i might be getting a cold sore in my eye :(  like i don't think i made direct contact with touching my eyes after my cold sore.  however my cold sore touched my blankie and i think the blankie might of hit my eye or something. im really worried and scared.  do u think this might be a cold sore in my eye?  how long should i leave it? if it gets worse then should i go to the doctor?

You don't get coldsores anywhere else but your lip do you...?

You can get them on your nose and near your eyes. My sister got that when she was a toddler, because she didn't really know not to touch it.

maybe you should see a doc, the last thing you want is that stuff on your eyeball. it leaves a scar and you will lose vision.

I highly doubt it. It's not transferred that way, but you should go see a doctor anyway and get checked out to make sure. It could be any one of a number of things and we're not doctors on LW so we really can't tell.

I have seen people that had cold sores in their eyes before.  You could get some medicine for it, as I imagine it's fairly uncomfortable.  I heard valtrex may become an OTC drug soon, but if you're in pain go the doctor.
