Those are both painkillers, so they won't help at all with your depression,

I really doubt that ibuprofen will do anything to help your depression. Ibuprofen treats pain from inflammation, ie swelling. Also you're probably only taking about 1500mg, which is a rather small amount. All you will do is increase your tolerance to ibuprofen.

You should go see a doctor, as they can prescribe you proper anti-depressants which will help you far more.

Well it doesn't really help. Those are both painkillers/NSAIDs, they're not going to solve your emotional problems. Taking them when you don't need to is also not good, they do have their own side effects and it could just be causing more harm than good.

If you feel depressed, or sad, talk to your doctor. Get an appointment with your HMO/GP/primary care physician and then go see them. Talk to them about how you feel and they'll advise you on what to do. They may put you on anti-depressents, they may just refer you to a counsellor, but taking random pills is definitely not the solution.

Stop that.
It does nothing for depression.
You will build up immunity to them, so when you get a headache or something they won't work.

They have absolutely no effect on mood, you're wasting your money. Advil and Motrin are NSAIDs, all they do is relieve inflammation in irritated muscle tissue.

Advil IS a type of Ibuprofen.

And it does absolutely nothing for depression.
