It's happened before, but usually only for a few seconds, this time it was for a few minutes. I could still hear and I knew where I was, but I just couldn't see anything. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? And do you think I should go to the doctor? Any advice would be really appreciated

I don't know but it could be a genetic thing in your family.... I went to the doctors and they said that my eyesight was fine so..... This has happened to me but mine lasts no longer than a minute. I would call a doctor and ask.
