I've only just gotten started.  I've lost 35 this summer, alone.  But I'll have lost my 100th overall pound in just 10lbs.

(Here's another comparison to show you my overall before...)

I've literally done it by running my ass off.  No drugs, no outside help.  Just change in diet and willpower.  I'm a stubborn bitch.  45 pounds to go!

And for those that will ask, I'm at 220 right now, and I'm 5'8".  My top weight (in the black shirt, bottom pic) was 310.

I'm not making things personal, I was responding to your comment.  Just as you did, I started what happens for me...

You look great! Now that my thyroid is under control, I should be steadily losing. I'm down 8 lbs so far. Lots more to go.

I wish that was the case with me

Bt every time we think the dose is sorted it's increased so I've never seen weight loss as a perk of finally being medicated. I've had to work hard.

I have been working extremely hard, but before my meds were regulated, it was only to maintain my current weight. Now that everything is sorted out, I'm actually seeing a change.

i work hard... i just have never seen a change.

i wasn't dissing what you do or saying you don't work :/

you make things personal that dont need to be.

That's amazing well done!

I really wish I had taken progress photos of myself. I started seriously trying to lose weight sometime in March and I've lost 38.5lbs. Slowly but surely and I haven't had a single gain since that time. So every single week I've lost weight. I love it. I've only got photos of me previously and not really any of me along the way.

I've got 24.5lbs to go until I reach my target of 142lbs (10st 2lbs). I started off at 205lbs (14st 9lbs). I'm only 5'3.5" so that's the highest weight I should be according to my BMI. I just don't want to be too skinny. I like having a bit of meat on my bones so I'm more than happy to be 10st 2lbs. I don't even remember the last time I was in that bracket. Plus, I don't think I could be 9st something again lol. But once I get to target I might try and push just to get into the 9st bracket, just to see if I can.

(I hope I got my st - lb conversions right there lol).

pics, cara?

well done to both of you, such fantastic achievements and will serve you so well in future years to come. keep up the good work!

I love running, but unfortunately my natural running technique is really bad (I land real heavy on my feet), so I get shin splints and stuff from it :( I prefer bikes for this reason. But yeah, it's amazing what a simple change in diet can do also! I didn't realise how crappy junk food was making me feel, until I started eating healthier, and feeling better because of it. No post-eating tummy grumbles etc. Good on you :)

That's fantastic.  And I wouldn't have guessed 220 in the last picture at all.  I would have guessed like 180.  You look in shape.
