8/squareoot 2.....it says to ratinalize the denominator and simplify....would i just multily it by squareroot 2 and it would be 8 squareoot 2?

8 sqrt(2) / 2 = 4 sqrt(2)

Uh.

8 = 2*2^(1/2)

Therefore, it's just 2.

youve got the right idea but the answer would be 8squareroot2/2

Multiply the top and bottom by square rt 2.
so it's
8/rt(2) * rt(2)/rt(2)

= 8rt(2)/2
= 4rt(2)
