Two years ago I was able to get one with no cosigner, but my sophomore year loan companies said that they weren't getting paid in the end so they require a cosigner now. I don't think there are any. There's this thing with some company that if you apply for this certain loan, and get denied, you get 4k free. I forget what it's called, but I got denied last year and got 4k free. The other 4k to pay off the year came from the govt. You fill out the fafsa yet?
