Ethiopia was, back in the B.C. era, notoriously affiliated with the Middle East, though, so they are bound to have Middle Eastern genes in their bloodlines. Trade was common between the Holy Lands and Ethiopian kings, and there's even a mention of an Ethiopian in the Bible. You miss the point. Regardless of how Ethiopic populations came to have the traits they do, we ignorant, arrogant white Westerners are still apt to call an Ethiope a black man. Race is nothing but common traits shared between various populations, and as these populations mix and change the flimsiness of the concept of race becomes more and more apparent. -- Posted by Takinam at 6:30 pm on June 27, 2008 Can anyone prove that the Ethiopian population is of Middle Eastern ancestry without the injection of conjecture? And the bible doesn't serve as proof for anything beyond faith.   From what I've studied, the Ethiopian population is largely of homogenuous native Black ancestry having some traits that can be attributed to native descent. It is not the only African population with the Muslim religion yet people here seem to like to state that Muslim religion equates to Muslim ancestry.
