Permanent residence permit was given to an Iranian guy who had to escape from his home country because he was living together with his boyfriend while not keeping it a secret.   Before escaping, the guy had been arrested repeatedly. He was living with a foreign diplomat who by now has left Iran. This. Iran is extremely intolerant of homosexuals, and execution is not uncommon.
