The only books I can ever find exciting enough are fantasy. For some reason, every fantasy book I ever get into has the perfect guy who is completely in love with the main character.

When I read, that night, I always dream out the things that I read. Only I'M the main character. I'm experiencing every wonderful thing in this amazing book. I'm the one who the perfect guy is completely in love with. (Not. Possible.)

This always just reminds me of what a loser I am as soon as I wake up.    Now I'm insanely depressed again.

I used to be in love with fantasy books for the exact same reason--the main character is always the person you wish you were.

But then, you know, I got a life.  I still love reading fantasy books, but I don't read one every weekend anymore.

Eh, I know the feeling - I'm sure a lot of people do - and it does suck. Just being around other people reminds me of how much of a loser I am and so gets me down. As long as you can get over that feeling and carry on as normal, you'll be ok.
