Not to mention Evo had wet pavement and STI had dry. I could go on, but theres a youtube video around that had an Evo 8, 9 and 10 against an 08 STI, 07 STI, and 05 STI. Also to mention not every driver is the same. Its world renowned for its super tight layout. and you saying there all driven by race car drivers so its even, that is a massive rofl. Yes, clarkson "tested" both himself, in DIFFERENT weather conditions or all things. Not to mention Top Gear is for entertainment first, performance second. No one said all the drivers were even, however their all race car drivers, its not like they took some joe off the street and said get in. They've driven that track several times, and race cars several times, yes every racers different, but with the outcome of the race, its quite obvious of the cars true performance. The 5 spd vs 6 spd wouldn't make much if any difference in the outcome. Yes its a tight track, but the fact that these cars are all very similar shows that once again, this was a proper test. But lemme guess, since america "dosen't have any roadcourses at all" that means we don't care/need cars like these right? And every time i see one of those 5 lap battle videos on youtube around Tsukuba its a different story each time. I remember one were they had an Evo vs nsx vs skyline vs rx7 and STI(its probably a competely different order but its something like that) and the evo won by miles with the NSX second yet in others the NSX wins by miles and leaves everything else.
