I am anticipating this movie to an unhealthy degree.

Apparently Heath Ledger will give the most amazing performance of his lifetime, and might even receive an academy award for his role.

If he's as good as they're saying, it's going to be hard for me to watch the movie at all.  I predict that I'll be choking back tears throughout the whole thing.  If he delivers this amazing performance, and to know that the actor behind it is dead, along with his talent -- talk about depressing.

I've heard that Jack Nicholson (Joker, Batman) warned Heath not to take the part because of how destructive it is to a person.

When asked to comment on Heath's death, Nicholson simply said, "I told him so."

To prepare for his role as the Joker, Heath Ledger lived alone in a hotel room for a month, formulating the character's psychology, posture and voice (the last one he found most difficult to do). He started a diary, in which he wrote the Joker's thoughts and feelings to guide himself during his performance. He was also given Alan Moore's comic "Batman: The Killing Joke" and "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth" to read. Ledger also took inspiration from A Clockwork Orange (1971)'s Alex and Sid Vicious.

Im really excited to see it.

I know Heath Ledger has always been the type of actor that has to become the character in order to do a good job, so he probably shouldnt have ignored Nicholson's advice (who also has a similar way to become his role).

I really hope they give him an Academy Award, especially since it would be the first time since the '70s that they gave one to someone who was deceased.

I am looking forward to it.  I may see it in movie theaters, which I rarely go to these days.

Oh I make up characters a lot and I want to see this particular character. It is a character so strong that has caught a guy whose mind is vulnerable. I must see this. I hope I MYSELF won't get caught by it. I have made a similar, yet less distructive character myself in one of the stories that I want to write. I probably will stay loyal to THAT guy. But I still want to see the Joker's performance.

It's going to be GREAT!

The quote from IMDB, I admire how dedicated Heath was.
