Well, As you guys know, when you're creating a topic, posting a reply or sending a private message, there is the "Check Spelling" option available to those with troubles spelling or are stuck on a particular word. I think that there should also be a "Check Grammar" option on LiveWire as well. That way, we can ALL understand people when they talk. I mean, we won't have to try and figure out when people say: "uhmm okaii liek durs dis gui n he liek wuntz 2 b mii bf buh liek i gotz a bf n den i tuld him bout diz oda guy n he gotz rellii mad case im onlii hizz baybee n he wuzz gona beet da shitt outa da othurr guii buhh it wuzz 2 l8..." So..together with the spell checker AND the grammar checker.. I think LiveWire would be a better place. Thank you.

YES! Livewire needs a Grammar Check!!
-- Posted by iinsurgent at 10:42 am on July 2, 2008
The only problem is that it probably wont be able to fix those damn run on sentences.
-- Posted by Skyler72 rawrr at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
Meh... no one would use it.
-- Posted by Dont Notice Me at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
lol it wont be used...just as the spell check isn't used
-- Posted by gman101 at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
they do its called spell check.
-- Posted by Praise the Lard at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
and if there were a decent grammar checker in existence and if people gave a shit about grammar and spelling this would work.
-- Posted by Carm at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
People should just learn to speak and type correctly... a 'grammar check' would never work

Amen to that sister

Prepare for the "LW I5 NOT aN EnGlIsH Claszz" responses But I agree with you.

However, you forget that a grammar checker is useless! I took the above phrase and ran it through the spell check alone, choosing only the first words that came up. This is the result: uh-mm okay like Dur's dis GUI n he like wants 2 b MI bf bu like i got a bf n den i told him bout doz Ida guy n he got rel lii mad case I'm on lii whizz Barbee n he buzz Gina beet DA shirt Uta DA other GUI Bush it buzz 2 L...
-- Posted by devinx33 at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
i whole-heartedly agree with that & i think its a great idea.
-- Posted by BubbleCake at 10:43 am on July 2, 2008
Yes, agreed. We do need a grammar check on here. LOL @ that thing you said.
-- Posted by brandon34 at 10:44 am on July 2, 2008
Yea it does
-- Posted by metacarPi at 10:45 am on July 2, 2008
Well the Spell Check button is there but people STILL fail to use it so it would be the same way with the Grammar Check button. It would really just create more trolls.
-- Posted by jonbehere at 10:46 am on July 2, 2008
Lmao 'buh'.
-- Posted by PhoenixFire613 at 10:46 am on July 2, 2008
Totally agreed. I tend to be a grammar and spelling freak, and it irritates me that there isn't a grammar check.
-- Posted by brunettechic at 10:46 am on July 2, 2008
Yes, LiveWire needs a grammar check. Very badly, I might add.
-- Posted by haylers82456 at 10:46 am on July 2, 2008
haha! brilliant...
-- Posted by hanie at 10:47 am on July 2, 2008
for a start the sentence you provided as an exsample has alot of SPELLING mistakes in it, not grammar. spelt correctly its not too hard for any one with a brain to understand. Umm okay like theres this guy and he like wants to be my BF like i got a BF and the i told him about this other guy and he got really mad cause im only his baby and he was going to beat the shit out of the other guy but it was too late. ^^ okay, so thats not the best of sentences but anyone who can't understand what is trying to be said is thicker than the people who right like that in the first place. (P.S. IF THERE ARE SPELLING AND GRAMMAR MISTAKES IN HERE, IM GLAD. :) BCUS IM NOT SAD ENOUGH TO GO OVER AND CHECK IT ALL SO YOU STUCKUP CUNTS CAN BE HAPPY :) )
-- Posted by DCW69 at 10:47 am on July 2, 2008
I agree with that but many people don't even use the spell check let alone actually spell words correctly.
-- Posted by hithere at 10:48 am on July 2, 2008
i corrected all those words so that they were spelled correctly and i ran it through Word's grammar check and it said there was nothing wrong with the grammar... so how would a little shitty grammar checker be able to help with that?
-- Posted by Just Waiting Here at 10:48 am on July 2, 2008
A spell check button can't fix that... Even so, people wouldn't bother to use it. The people that type like that don't do it because they can't spell.
-- Posted by marshmellowman at 10:49 am on July 2, 2008
It'd be quite hard to implement, and not many people use spellcheck anyway. Safari has spellcheck built in anyway for my personal use. Regular LiveWire users would probably not bother to use it.

Except for the lack of periods!!

I know. It's a complete run-on sentence. I mean, even if the spelling was right, it would still be difficult to understand due to the lack of periods.

yes yes it does.
