I can't stand my family. There's always fighting, I don't feel that my parents really care about my feelings, I always piss them off, they piss me off...School is a major thing to them, and I can never make them happy. Blah blah blah.

I'll be 18 in October, and my friend will be 18 in December. He and I are thinking about renting an apartment together, and splitting up all the costs. We've thought about what we would tell people and how we would work things out...

But it still seems crazy. I can't believe I'm actually thinking about moving out, but that's the point it's gotten to.

Anyone have anything on this?

my friend had the same problems as you, he moved out for like a month and his parents begged him to come back and they promised no rules or regulations and they wouldn't get in his face or anything. so he went back and his parents stayed true to their word.

i think if it's gotten that bad, you should try moving out.
just kinda make sure you have a fall-back plan incase that doesn't work out though.

Honestly, if you cannot stand your family, perhaps the only solution is death.  Not yours, mind you, but theirs.  It sounds morbid and cruel, but it's the only way to ease your pains.

^ Creepy morbid FREAK!

If worst comes to worst, I'll go back and live with my parents...But I hope that won't have to happen.

Tell you what... Some people are good in school, some are not. but most that are bad in school, are GREAT at something else that can make their living. If school is an issue.. just wait it out

Another thing is, I want to drop out of school and get a GED...And in my parents eyes, that is NOT at all OK. So...The combination of it all makes me want out.

If staying at home is affecting you badly it isn't too bad an idea. Learning to be independent and stuff...

It's definitely pretty bad...I've wanted to move out for like, a year, but now that it's getting close to the time that I'll legally be able to, I'm becoming more serious about it.
