my boyfriend and i have nowhere to stay. we have a tent but land isn't free and also it's been raining a lot. i'm pretty sure my mom is going to take my car away because she's a hateful bitch. i don't have a job, we're both trying to get one so we can get an apartment but until then i have no idea what to do!!!

the cheapest motel i can find is still $145 a week. it's fuckin' ridiculous, we have nowhere to go! last night we slept in my car. now i don't know what is gonna happen. please give me some suggestions

How are you on the internet if you got kicked out?

-- Posted by jow at 4:09 pm on July 3, 2008

why did your mum kick you out

How is your mom going to take your car away if you aren't living at home?

And if you don't mind, what circumstances led up to you getting kicked out?

the car is in her name. she would call the cops on me in a heartbeat.
my mom found out my boyfriend has been driving my car - that's ALL.

that's ALL.

As sincere as you may be, I have a hard time believing that.

Regardless, I say the best option would be to make up with your mother-- you are now living on the street. Compromise.

Are there backpacker places you can stay at? That'd be as cheap as 20/night if you're willing to share the "room". And in the meantime maybe you can work things out with your parents.

i'm being completely serious. all i do is come home, do my chores, and then leave. i haven't really even talked to her much lately. i think she's taking her unhappiness out on me.

I would go to a homeless shelter. You can google where the closest one to where you are is.

Good luck.

you could always hope for a miracle

I second Micus, there should be an effort on your part to reconcile with your mother. I don't think you have the option of anything else right now that would be as easy, secure, and safe. I mean, you say you're practically on the streets now so you very obviously don't have the resources to keep on fighting with your mother. Set your differences aside and work something out.

Also, I don't know how common it is, but I know in my town there's a place called Safe House where homeless kids or runaways and whatnot are welcomed. If you're in the library, you should consider asking or looking at the billboards for things like that.

the homeless shelter here only has 14 beds and families get priority :(
right now reconciliation seems extremely disagreeable because as a human, when someone hurts me, i try to distance myself as much as possible. my mom has treated me so negatively my entire life that all i want to do is get away and stay away. i would rather just die, i can't handle feeling so shitty at the hands of someone who's supposed to support me.
