I don't know what it means when someone says they reached 'climax'. I have no idea what it means!! I mean, I understand what a climax is in a piece of writing... but this just makes no sense! Does it mean they reached the climax of the book their reading? That's what I thought it meant. My friends laughed and patted me on the head, one of them even said: "Awwe, you're so naive. It's adorable."

Grrrr... I hate it when they do that. I'm 15 just like them... perhaps I'm a bit too old to be asking questions like this....

I basically means that he/she reached orgasm, usually during sexual activity. The 'climax' referring to the height of the orgasm as it's obviously releasing and satisfying. Or in cruder terms, he/she came.

Don't feel silly or anything though for asking the question. There are lots of words these days for different things so don't feel stupid just because you don't know them all!

Also, just ignore your friends. So what if you don't know all the terms? In my eyes it's a good thing you only knew the meaning for it in literature terms! Just shows you must be a sensible teenager.
