im a teenager who has been very abused and who lives with a family who cannot take care of me properly... im thinking about adoption. i just dont know anything about it. i live in california. how would i get adopted? can i get social services involved so my i can be taken from my parents, instead of my parents signing for me to go away (they would never sign)? how difficult is it emotionally? does anybody have any experience with it? please, PLEASE, tell me everything you know about it. thank you so very much =]

get emancipated and yeah but its been proven that people who are adopted show more signs of neglect and abuse, and they like inherit it

Yes! If you contact social services in your area and tell them that you're being abused, then you can be taken somewhere else away from your family. Although it's likely that you'll have to stay in some sort of an orphanage before you get taken in. Do some research at this website: http://www.childsworld.ca.gov/PG1319.htm Be well. :]

You definitely can call Child Protective Services (assuming you're under 18) in your area, and they will come out and do an investigation, and then most likely remove you and you'll be placed in a foster home, pending adoption. Then, you can be adopted from there. The first step though is to make the call to social services/child protective services and begin the process.
