So do you? Also if you do does anyone know why? Would like opinions, stories, and really want some scientific reasons.

if it is flat, yes.

-- Posted by jumbo55 at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

yes, but the story is for 7-up

-- Posted by writergirl at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

idk... the mix of cheap sugar and crbonation have never helped me...

-- Posted by Micus at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

Actually, it's ginger ale that you're supposed to drink.

Ginger is a proven stomach-calmer.

I would imagine all the sugar and carbonation in the sprite would just upset your stomach more.

-- Posted by Innuendo Girl at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

no, sprite just makes my mouth feel sticky, which makes me feel sick

-- Posted by heaaatherlynn at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

I fucking hate Sprite.

-- Posted by uwastedmyheart at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

No, ginger ale.

-- Posted by angiegurl918 at 8:12 pm on July 4, 2008

yeah.

-- Posted by silverbullets at 8:13 pm on July 4, 2008

prob. it has carbonation which is like an antiacid which will help calm your stomach. seltzer would do it too, but most people perfer soda.

-- Posted by LostInTheClouds at 8:15 pm on July 4, 2008

I was always told that it was Ginger Ale that helped your stomach.

-- Posted by paganwitch at 8:15 pm on July 4, 2008

any thing that is clear works

-- Posted by jamuban08 at 8:16 pm on July 4, 2008

no

-- Posted by Brookie Chookie23 at 8:19 pm on July 4, 2008

Apparently it stems from the old days when people used to drink ginger ale because ginger helped upset stomachs, but because the ginger ale today isn't like the ginger ale back then, it doesn't have the same effect.

-- Posted by fullmooncurse at 8:22 pm on July 4, 2008

I never thought it did

-- Posted by 2ndbreakfast79 at 8:24 pm on July 4, 2008

it's helped me before, but i agree with the previous poster that says ginger ale (canada dry) is better than sprite. it definitely is. it's helped settle my stomach many times when i get queasy while flying.

-- Posted by PhoenixFire613 at 8:25 pm on July 4, 2008

No, at least it doesn't for me. It always makes my stomach feel worse.

-- Posted by Poker Shark at 8:36 pm on July 4, 2008

I've never heard that. Ginger helps so root beer is good.

-- Posted by Steel Ebola at 8:40 pm on July 4, 2008
