I was at this job interview for a grocery store. When it was time for me to ask questions, I asked if they had any special projects planned for the future. They told me No because we're only one store. They have no branches... I knew they were only one store, but didn't know there had to be more than one of them to have a project. Could this prevent me from getting the job?

I don't think so. It's not like you would really know that.

No. It is a perfectly good question, and if they invite you to ask questions then you are allowed to ask whatever you want.

I don't think it will hurt you. It actually shows that you are looking into the activities of the company, something most employers appreciate.

I don't understand why you think that would prevent them from hiring you. It sounds like a perfectly reasonable question to me.
