In essence, it may take hundreds of years for us to totally forget about African slavery simply because we are now globally interconnected. Our children (us, for the most part) have picked up on the unjust nature and unfortunate pattern of racism within our society. Remnants of African slavery still resonate within American society today. ANd P.S. Apartheid is more recent and there are people who have lived through it. It was only abolished about 20 or so years ago. And it included Africans.
