So I know how to skateboard, but my dad was like well since you're just learning, we'll get you the $20 shit boards from Target. It's starting to piss me off, since you'll only go 5 feet on one pushoff, and other various things that just make it worth the $20. I'm wondering what are some skate shop chains where I could get a decent board? I know I could always go online, but I'd rather not wait for shipping. I live in San Jose, California, if that helps anyone?

Just get one from Target. Worry about a decent skateboard when you're becoming a decent skateboarder.

Uh. Have you ever even tried these boards? They're more or less useless unless you can't even stay on the damn thing.
