I have had this shitty ass us cell phone for a year. It has been through hell and back. But tonight, it's fucked up. I did nothing to it, I didn't drop it, get water in it or anything.

Whenever I go through my list and push "new message" it turns off. I tried going to the name and sending it through there but it turns off when I try to click send message through there.

I have unlimited texting and Idk what to do. I need a new cell, but my mum acts like she doesn't want to get me one. I mean, it's a year old. It has been chewed on when my puppy was little, and it's been dropped a zillion times...

Anyone ever had this issue before?

Break it. Then, *attempt* to turn it on in front of your mom and tell her it died. She'll get you a new one. :)

If the phone takes a SIMs card, you might be able to buy a phone from the internet to replace it, or even from a friend. As long as it is unlocked or at least the same company (such as AT&T or Verizon), it should work with it.

I did that last year when my phone is making me mad. I went on facebook's marketplace and asked if anyone had a decent cell phone they would like to sell. Got one of those Pantech C300 for like $30 and it was practically brand new. All I did was transfer my SIM card from my old cell phone to it, and it works great. Haven't had any trouble with it, whatsoever. Might be something you're interested in, if anything. Might even talk your mom into looking into that. *hint* hint* Don't have to get a new plan or wait til the current one expires to get a new phone.
