This asshole my sister's been dating for 9 months got her pregnant two months ago and my mother is taking it pretty well, she even calls him her "son" (in a jokingly manner, but he doesn't get that - this fucker thinks he really IS my mom's son, lol). My mom can be so stupid at times, it's not even funny. His mother kicked him out. And I applaud her for it! She basically said she isn't dealing with this because he's 18, he decided he wanted to have sex without a condom, and now it's his problem - not hers. I'm glad. I'd do the exact same thing. Would you kick your son out if he got a girl pregnant and was irresponsible about the whole situation (not looking for a job, a high school drop out, etc.)??

I'd force his dumbass to get a job and go back to school then if he messed up on anything then i'd kick him out yeah, im a compassionate person

No. Everybody makes mistakes. If he was my son, I'd love him unconditionally no matter what happened. I'd never abandon him. But i'd keep him on lock down: school, work, see the baby, and nowhere else.

I can give you personal experience on this. I was kicked out when I was 13 years old because of how irresponsible I was (among many other reasons). This completely made my situation a hell of a lot worse, and my parents really regret it to this day. Being kicked out is why I am like I am today. People who kick their kids out are scum of the Earth. Cannot stand them and I hope they die. I would never ever kick my children out, it is just pathetic, I would find them help and help them sort out there problems.

i wouldnt kick him out.. cause thats what you do when u have children u support them and love them no matter what mistakes they made cause ur supposed 2 be the one they can run 2 when shit happens.. i mean he's grown (18) but he's still a baby i could see if he was a grown ass man. I think its going to be more of a loss to her than him in the long run when she wants to see her grandchildren

I wouldn't kick him out but i wouldnt exactly support him. I would more like make him deal with all of it because it's his own stupid fault but i definitly wouldn't kick out my son because i think that would be bad parenting not to support your child when he's in need even if he is 18. Typically an 18 year old doesn't know how to take care of a child becuase well they still are a child so i would not expect a child to take care of a child

what the hell is up with the votes on this?!?! there's never that many and they're usually mostly from girls.

I would kick him out - he needs to learn how to take responsibility for his actions.

yes i would. i wish my parents would kick my brother out. he's 17 and got a 15 yr old girl prego and he wouldn't take care of the baby until one day he got arrested and the judge told him that he has to prove that he got a job and he's supporting the baby, so then the asshole gave her $15 and thinks that it's good enough. i'm sorry about your sister.

How the hell did this get so many votes in 13 minutes?

Mistakes happen. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I abandoned my own child over a momentary lapse in judgment that could have happened to anyone. I wouldn't be thrilled with him, and I wouldn't be willing to handle everything for him, but I'd be there for him and help him find resources to get his life back on track. It's part of being a parent, and in that situation, its also part of being a grand parent.

I'd not kick him out. I'd be there for him. The last thing you'd want if you got someone pregnant and you were anxious anyways, would be your family turn against you and kick you out. Votes. :O

Omg, on another note (although I hear what you all are saying), look at the votes!! Best glitch ever, lol.

I wouldn't raise my son like that. Plus, your sister should of thought about protection too.

If my daughter got pregnant and decided the keep the baby, then I would make it very clear that she would not be living in my house. Having a child means being an adult, and adults live on their own and pay their own bills. I will have already raised my children by then, and I'm not looking for another. Now, that's with my daughter. If my son got a girl pregnant, I would expect him to be doing some serious thinking. If he's offered to help pay for an abortion and she refuses and insists on keeping the child, and if he makes it very clear that he does not want to take any part in the pregnancy or the baby, then I wouldn't do anything about his living situations. As far as I'm concerned, he's played his part. However, if he wanted to help with the baby and be a father, then I would tell him that he needed to get a job and start supporting. Would I kick him out? No, probably not. He's going to have to find his own way, and if the baby came and he still wasn't doing his part (after clearly stating that he would), I would encourage the mother of his child to sue for appropriate child support. And, as in the case of my daughter, I would not have the baby or the mother moving into my house.

I wouldn't kick him out because it would be at that very time that he would need help the most. You can't just disown a child because they made a mistake. I would deal with the situation and help my child as much as I could.

It depends. If she's only 8 weeks gone, that means that she's only known for like 4-5 weeks since you can't find out until you're 4-5 weeks along. I think that's a little premature to kick him out for not "stepping up" yet. What exactly is he supposed to be doing while the fetus is the size of a grain of rice? He could be out looking for a job but a lot of times it takes more than a month to land one. Just because he's not busting his ass 30 days after hearing the news doesn't mean he's a deadbeat dad, although he's a lot more likely to be one now since he's homeless and support-less.
